Equality on the web. My story: [Tea&Biscuits]

Hello, I would like to talk about equality on the Internet. Since my early teens I’ve been in all the roles a standard forum can give you, I’ve been a guest, a moderator, an admin, a special member and so on. When  I was younger the community in the forums I visited was wonderful, I remember a lot of people as great friends and teachers of my unruly rebellious youth. As I grew up I started visiting forums less and less and eventually stopped. Surprisingly enough I took an interest in a forum made by a channel I subscribe on youtube. Alot of you might know it. Well the ordinary people, admins and couple of mods are great people and I wish them a great life, but some moderators, probably due to being younger are abit lets say.. weird. I could say their judgment is clouded by opinions and affections. So I’ve had great fun spending time on the forums, but as everything in life all must come to an end. I got banned. Why? Because I said these words:
1) “I see some inside friction >:]” (about the moderator having no clue that they changed the image hosting options on the site)
2) "Wow you can't socialize in an introduction thread nowadays.. that's new."
Of course my posts were deleted, and I’ve been given a temp ban. “Ok” I told myself. Lets see who did this.
“Hello V**, your account have been temporary banned because you have accumulated to many infraction points, the ban will automatically lift after a period of time.

You have been banned for the following reason: Idiocy”

Hm.. Idiocy? Really? Couldn’t come up with anything at least a bit more related?

But wait!

“This infraction is worth 5 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.

I like how you deleted my post.. :] Freedom of speech and all that..

You have received an infraction for your actions and frankly terrible attitude on the forums. You do not be sarcastic toward a moderator while they do their jobs, and you do not question the moderators work. Moderators work hard to keep the forums clean from people like you who just troll and generally annoy people. So you have been banned temporarily so you can re-think your attitude to the forum.”

To you dear moderator of justice, I would like to say this: The Internet is a common area, a public space like any village square, except that it is the largest common area that has ever existed. Anything that anybody wishes to say can be heard by anyone else with access to the Internet, and this world-wide community is as large and diverse as humanity itself. Therefore, from a practical point of view, no one community's standards can govern the type of speech permissible on the Internet. In the words of John Barlow, a founding member of the Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) -- "In Cyberspace, the First Amendment is a local ordinance".

For anyone interested to know more, here’s a good read on the subject:

And this is what you get when you get banned apparently:

Quite mature.

Have you been feeling like the communities these days has gone down a notch? Which forums do you visit and how oftenly? Do you have any interesting stories to share on the subject?
